OUR VESSELS
Hervey Bay Fly and Sportfishing currently has 5 vessels. All our vessels meet tight AMSA regulations and carry first aid and VHF radio. Our vessels are custom built to suit our style of fishing and our waters.
Contender 25T
Introducing our new flagship vessel, our 25ft Contender. A super comfortable deep-V hull combined with twin 200HP Yamaha engines will give you the ride of a lifetime! Reaching speeds in excess of 40knots we can have you into the offshore grounds of Fraser Island to experience some deep blue water fishing.
The largest sportfishing vessel in Hervey Bay provides ample room for up to 4 passengers. Featuring latest Simrad electronics, Autopilot, huge 2.6m beam, ample room, large T-Top canopy, multiple underfloor storage bays, live bait tank, underfloor esky and killtank.

Deceiver
Deceiver is a 6.8 m Hooker Centre console custom built for Hervey Bay Fly and Sportfishing. It boasts plenty of space and can accommodate up to 4 anglers. It is fitted out with the latest Humminbird electronics including 3 d structure scan and is powered by a Yamaha 200 four stroke.
Deceiver is skippered by head guide Andrew (Chozza). The name “Deceiver” came from a famous fly pattern invented by the god father of saltwater fly fishing across the world, Lefty Kreh.
Fusion
Fusion is a 21 ft purpose built sportfishing centre console. Fusion has cast deck, live bait tank, coolers, kill tank, bow mount trolling motor and the newest electronics. Skippered by Pete Fusion has a nice dry ride and provides the perfect platform for your day on the water.
Gotcha
Gotcha is a Galeforce 18.5 ft Centre console which has been custom built for Hervey Bay Fly and Sportfishing. Galeforce boats have a great reputation for a safe and dry ride and are a popular vessel for guides right across Australia.
Gotcha features both rear and front casting decks, 2 ice boxes, plenty of dry storage, minn kota bow mount electric and the latest Humminbird electronics. Gotcha is powered by a quiet and efficient 115 hp Yamaha fourstroke. The name Gotcha came from a famous bonefish pattern which Andrew caught his first bonefish on.
Scaleforce
Our second Galeforce 18.5ft centre console is fully customised to suit our fishing in the Hervey Bay/ K’gari Fraser Island waters. This vessel has been designed for fly and spin fishing.
Scaleforce features an extended front casting deck, rear casting deck with custom polling platform, tons of hatch storage, 2 generous eskies, latest Humminbird electronics, Fusion stereo, 115Hp Yamaha engine and Minnkota bow mount electric.
Gotcha II
Gotcha II is our new estuary and sweet water boat, and also doubles as our hire vessel when not in use for charter.
The 4.5m Polycraft powered by the ever-reliable 60HP Yamaha engine, a super safe, quiet boat with a comfortable yet punchy ride. It has been fitted out with a custom front cast deck, rear polling flatform, minn kota bow mount electric motor and latest Garmin electronics.
A truly versatile sportfishing boat which is perfect for chasing both those empoundment barramundi and tuna bust-ups on the bay.
