hervey bay fly and sportfishing's new guide - kurt rowlands

As the newest addition to our team, Kurt’s enthusiasm and passion for fishing the local waterways is unmistakable.

A true local, he grew up fishing the waters on the Fraser Coast and has spent many years angling the Sandy Straits and Hervey Bay, along with the local freshwater impoundments and rivers.  Targeting everything from bass and sooty grunter, to golden trevally and pelagic species like longtail tuna, cobia and various mackerels in the salt, Kurt has a wealth of local experience.  He is also a keen fly fisherman and often spends his time on the flats chasing golden trevally, queenfish and GT’s.  Kurt is a qualified coxswain, has current senior first aid and has undertaken the necessary training under the guidance of Andrew.  Kurt’s’ easy-going attitude, enthusiasm and fishy nature see him produce excellent results for his guests and he can show you the best fishing Hervey Bay has to offer.
